Incision Healing After Tubal Reversal Surgery

A Member of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center Message Board reported itching from her incision after having her tubes untied. Some discomfort or burning around the incision site may be experienced for several days after surgery. A “healing ridge or hardness” along the incision is a part of the normal healing process and will soften in several weeks. Rubbing Vitamin E oil over the incision will help soften and reduce itching. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is available seven days a week to help you and respond to questions you may have prior to tubal reversal surgery and after you have returned home from having your tubes untied.
