Tubal Reversal Patient Shares Her First HCG Levels

Amanda underwent tubal reversal surgery with Dr. Berger and has just found out this week that she is pregnant with her first reversal baby. She is anxious to discuss her first HCG level with the other message board members and get their opinions on her level, which was 77.5. Amanda is currently 4 weeks pregnant and is reassured by the other women that her first HCG level is perfectly normal. Dr. Berger has a pregnancy protocol that he recommends that all patients follow when they become pregnant after tubal reversal surgery so that early pregnancies can be closely monitored. Pregnant tubal reversal patients need to have their quantitative HCG levels monitored twice a week and then have a vaginal ultrasound performed when the HCG reaches 1500 in order to visualize the gestation sac in the uterus.
