Would Tubal Reversal Be Possible?

Dr. Monteith at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center discusses the case of a woman who was told there was little chance of having a successful tubal reversal based upon the operative report of her tubal ligation procedure. Her desire for kids after tubal ligation was so strong that she decided to proceed with tubal ligation reversal no matter what obstacles she faced. She reasoned if it was not meant to be, then it would not be. She was well informed regarding the possibility that Dr. Berger might not being able to repair either fallopian tube. She wanted us to try to work with what she had, and her positive thinking was that any chance is better than no chance at all. As it turned out, she had good tube lengths and her ligation reversal went extremely well. She had a good surgical result with healthy fallopian tubes and with tubal lengths at 4-5 cm on both sides at the end of her procedure.
